This is truly a special place. The family was so welcoming to us during our northernmost drive throughout Thailand in late 2022. GeeGee was our primary contact and welcomed us and our driver into the tranquil gates. We stayed in two different lodging rooms, each over 100 years old and impeccably well kept. Chiang Rai is a wonderful place to enjoy art and nature, and this establishment was filled with art, some quite modern and alluring. The grounds, pleasantly situated across from the university, are serene, with koi ponds, swings, hammocks and sitting areas. We were delighted with GeeGee's parents' hospitality, and the dad's cooking was incredible! Observing the family, and later confirming the observations with GeeGee, we learned how elder generations are so magnificently honored in Thai culture. This is a deeply personal dimension you get when booking here as opposed to an impersonal hotel. It was humbling to learn that where we slept GeeGee's grandparents lived. This is certainly worth booking if you have a chance.
